Lent, is a time for conversion - a change of heart. It is a time for us to turn away from whatever distracts us from living our baptismal call as a follower of Jesus Christ. This is the purpose of our Lenten disciplines - to re orient ourselves to the basics of the Christian life in light of our Gospel values.
