    Barrie Out of the Cold Fundraiser

    Every year our school supports the Barrie Out of the Cold Programme in different ways. This year we are asking for much needed donations of Warm Gloves, Men’s Boxers, Long Johns (Long Underwear for both men and women) and Toiletries (especially small travel size deodorant and toothpaste/brushes) for both men and women.

    Junior Division Family Night

    We are very excited to tell you about our Jr. Division Christmas Carol Sing-a-long to take place on Tuesday, December 19 at 6:30 in the gym. Families are invited to come and sing along to some old and new Christmas favourites. The children are invited to wear their favourite Christmas p.j.’s and/or Christmas hat. Donations for our Advent Giving Tree will be accepted at the door. We hope you’ll be able to join us for a fun family evening.

    6th Annual Christmas Garage Sale

    Our 6th annual Christmas garage sale is coming up in two weeks! This would be a great time to rid yourself of some clutter before the holidays. Any toys, jewelry, dad or Christmas items you are willing to donate please send them into school to help out families and children in your community. Halloween candy kicking around? Send it in and we will get rid of it for you and help out needy families to boot! Bringing a bag of donations gets you 4 free wrappings at the elf station as a thank you for your kindness :)

    Cupcakes, Cookies, and Squares! Oh My!

    Halloween Bake Sale The Grade 8 students will be hosting a BAKE SALE on Halloween morning. There will be cupcakes, cookies, squares and many other spooky treats. So bring your loonies and toonies and help support our Grade 8 students. All money raised will go towards Graduation activities in the spring. Thank you for your support and Happy Halloween!

    Orange Shirt Day

    If you were to walk through the school on any normal day at St. Monica’s you would see a rainbow of t-shirts: blues, greens, purples and reds. Most students don’t pay much attention to the colour of their top and most people don’t notice or care about the shade of students clothes, but on Thursday, September 28th there was an abnormality in the colours of t-shirts. The majority of all students and teachers were wearing orange t-shirts. This, however was not simply a coincidence...
