    Intermediate Math Olympics

    On Thursday, March 9th, a team of four SMO students, Alex, Amy, Emmett, and Julie went to St. Joseph’s High School to compete in the 2017 Intermediate Math Olympics. The SMCDSB wide competition is a great way for students to challenge themselves by competing in fun, unique, math activities.

    Shrove Tuesday

    On Tuesday, February 28th, SMO students gathered in the gym to celebrate Pancake Tuesday, hosted by Mrs. Rumney’s Grade 5 class. Everyone from Kindergarten to Grade 8 gathered to the gym to eat fluffy pancakes.

    Lunch Time Intramural Fun

    Mrs. Rumney has started a new program called Intramurals! This is where junior classes can play sports in the gym, during lunch recess. Intramurals is a great program where junior students are encouraged to play sports such as: Hockey, Dance, Dodgeball, Yoga and Basketball.
